I have just handed in second assessment (of four) at University, where I am studying for an MA in Fine Art. This will mark the end of the first year. My first module and assessment was stressful to say to least and I now one year into the course feel I am making sense of what it is I am doing here and doing with my work.

The process of making is very important to me but even I recognize I need to collaborate with others and I often do. I collaborate with those who code, who have better construction skills than I do and I am hoping to do some work experience with some mold makers in the next few weeks. There are of course artists who are just not able to make their work all themselves because the work is just too big and is too much of an engineering feat for them to do so. I have been reading the book and it has made me want to outsource more of my work If I can afford to, which I don't think I can. I worked so hard this term, it seemed all my ideas came together in one fell swoop and I had to work crazy hard to complete on them.
